My Favorite Guilty-Pleasure

Ever since I've graduated from UTP, urm.. ntah la ape ku da buat. Guess the pictures summarizes all :)

I had to kemas my room. The last time I actually felt my room IS my room was before form 1. I went for boarding school eversince form 1. And right after SPM, masuk UTP pulak. During my UTP days pulak, I so loved joining events -- dance especially -- that I seldom had a full 1-month semester break.

Then I noticed these stacks of magazines:


Yeah. Gempak & Utopia. These were like from 2002 collection. Who reads these too back in the old days raise up their hands~! XD
I actually re-read all of em! walopn dah sneeze smpai flu sbb da berhabuk2. but it wasnt too bad of a comic la! LOL. sheysh. really goyang kaki eyh.


Then I opened another so-called treasure chest of mine.

Seeing these thick books reminded me that.. I was once quite a bookworm! I loved reading! It all started with our primary 6 English teacher back in St Agnes. Mdm Chin. yeah I can still remember her name. Cuz she was a hella ferocious teacher. She was the one who forced us to start reading English books/novels. I remember I started with Enid Blyton's storybooks. I actually fell in love with em! Stacks of em are behind those Harry Potter books in the pic above. Then I started reading the True Singapore Ghost Stories volumes, Chicken Soup for the Soul etc. Oh dont tell me u never read those!

But oh well. As u can see. There are a stack of Dik Cerdas - Shin Chan comic books too. My favorite comic till now thee-hee.. :P

I'm currently in marathon, re-reading Mutiara Naga (Dragon Ball) 1-43. & shall probably then continue with Sailormoon 1-18, Dr. Slump, Pakar Judo ... the list just goes on! Oh how could I ever throw them away :(

Besides books. Ayy I go out too ockay~ my favorite place to go on Sundays - not very normal for a young girl to like this kind of place - is the Gaya Street Sunday Market. Just because I can see (& cucuk2 abit) the expensive cats are for sale

No kidding huh? Altho its sold at a market je. Wonder who brings such cash to a pasar.

Oh. Then. Lemme introduce my favorite drink here. Its like the famous Taiwan bubble drink. Theres a lot of their kind selling here, but the most famous (& yummy too!) is YOYO's.

The signature drink would be milky tea (like teh+susu) with pearl (like 'sagu' i guees? black in color). You drink it up from a thick straw & chew on the pearls. You may also choose to add on either pearls / coconut cubes / pudding / black jelly. But my favorite would be Ice Cocoa + pudding. oh yummy~ XD

My favorite guilty-pleasure: ice creams! I'm eating alot of these recently. ugh. so yeah u can bet i'm fattening (-_-!)

I guess this is my favorite flavor of the Baskin Robbins' range : old-fashioned butter pecan. oh macam orang tua pulak. But its nais~`
Then there's this brand which isn't very commercial in Msia. But mum & I, being ice-cream freaks, tried it out. Tho its a bit pricy (almost priced like Haagen Dazs), I would say i loved Ben&Jerry's way better!!! Seriously, do have a try. It should be sold at cold storages i guess. These two are among my fave :D


Ah.. Now that I have shared with you my 'diet' tips, it's time for me to stop yada-ing. Esok nak puasa. Bulan Rejab baik puasa. Jom Jom ehee~

tadi. otw back from dentist. dgn pipi ku yg masih kebas. terdengar la kat radio Hot.fm ni. ye ku dah jadi pendengar Hot.fm skrg walaupun kawan2 kutakde dalam kereta (dulu dgar Fly or Hitz je, tp dah sebab bile member naik kretaku jd senyap je, ku pun salu tukar jd Hot or Era. skrg da sangkut pula). tedengar la time dua ketul Jawa Rangers tu on air. discussing the topic pasal berhenti merokok.

sorg mamat ni call. katenye. dulu die ade awek. awek die x ske die merokok. so die pun slowly try brenti merokok, time jumpe awek die die x rokok, smpai at last totally brenti. tp tibe2 drg putus (ade ke tibe2 je org putus?). die pun stat mrokok blk. mamat tu kate "lepas ni saye berjanji tak nak berenti merokok sebab orang lain".
lorh. ape salah nye sbb org lain? at least it gives u reason utk berubah. n bknnye berubah yg x betol, ke arah kebaikan pun. ape salahnye kn. daripada ko hidup menerawang x tentu psl merokok bakar duit nyusahkn org keliling. bagus la ade awek ko tu nasihat brenti mrokok. tp bongek la ko smbg blk mrokok sbb da clash. kalo ko blh tahan tak merokok, why not brenti je terus. takyah la blame korg nye breakup pulak. humph. ku lak ter emo. tp. oh well. maybe ku x ckup paham jiwa perokok.

Filipino Maid Bullying Bos punya Anak

I went to my granny's again today. It seems like that's the place I get 'sensational' news to be shared in my blog eyh? LOL!

My aunt Sharon was showing this video in her E71 phone. She got it from her customer, who happens to be a friend to this person X. This was even in the local news few days back. I also mesti la sebok nak bluetooth jugak :P

Person X lives in Lido housing area, in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. X has kids aged 1 or 2, and another one 3 or 4 years old. While these X parents goes to work in the day, they entrusted their Filipino maid to watch over the kids. They thought everything was just fine.

Until the neighbor tells X, that they often heard their children crying and screaming while the parents were not around. Feeling curious, X installed CCTV in the living room, without the maid knowing of it.

Next thing they know...

As you can see. The maid was feeding the younger kid. Then came the elder kid. It was like the kid wanted to pee/poo or already has (which may be the reason that triggered the maid's MADNESS). You can see there are a series of serious kicking - the kid actually flew! - and hard tugging. What F-ing kind of human being does that? She even stands ON the kid. Well she may not be an obese, but thats a 4 years old kid u're standing on beyotch!

SMESHians '04 Reunion Picnic (updated)

Ever since I got back Sabah, yesterday was definitely the best day I ever had :D

I seldom go out here. Reason being, I had to help out with the house chores since theres no ammah / bibik around. Also, because my parents aren't always in favor when I say I want to go out with friends. banyak gile soalan kne tny ugh stress..

Anyways. The ex-SMESHians of SPM'04 had a reunion yesterday - Sat, June 20. At Tanjung Aru Beach 3. 8am *koff!* (i came at 8.15 & nobody was there! g bekfes la dulu with my parents. ugh ni la akibat jd org punctual (T_T) only by 9 did some showed up). But acceptable la because.. I'm the only 1 from KK. everyone else is like 1 hour drive to the venue whuu terharu2~ so u see, its really hard for us to gather everyone :(

Anyways. Just to recap who came.

There were friends that I have not been able to meet at all right after SPM! So u can bet theres pretty a lot to talk about. Especially among the girls. Gosh. We gossiped like theres no tomorrow! (ish ish ish x ingat dunia dah..) Sah2 nak habiskn quota bercakap dulu2 pny yg da expired.

btw. for some who don't know, most of my schoolmates back here call me Meow. hee. I got that nickname since form 2 i think. semua kucing2 d Dewan Makan pun saya punya. LOL.

About 3pm, after much effort of c Marleen yang berusaha kuat semangat mau ajak semua pi karaoke since 1pm, majlis pun bersurai secara kecil kecilan~ Some headed straight back home, cuz they have a long journey to go. Some, went to the town. Zaza, Hede, Kilik, Dale, Lappy & myself went for a bowling stroll :D boy we had a great time! details won't be appreciated anyway here, so I'm not bothering to write.

3pm, my mum da call saying "tak mau balik suda ka?". ugh.. please la. its not like everyday i go out pun. n it ws only 3pm! see why I hate going out? (>.<)
Point-of-bullying-Meow of the day:
I was THE ONLY ONE being sent & picked up by my parents! tsk tsk tsk.. sungguh memalukn.. sy bukan budak darjah 5...

By night, as I login to my Facebook acc.. my God. 99 notifications! everyone was in serious picture-tagging & -commenting mode. I laughed a hell lot! :D

That Story

I never walked out of the saloon with a satisfied smile. There’s always something just not right. But this time, it’s just totally NOT RIGHT. Gawd I’m super pissed.

I thought I’d go for a fringe. For a younger look la konon. I asked the lady to cut it slowly as I can’t really tell the exact length, but I DID say nothing shorter than my eyelids first. “ok ok”. She asked me to close my eyes as it might cucuk my eyes. Snip. Snip. Snip. I opened my eyes.

WTF?! It’s about in line with my eyebrow!! And F, it’s queerly cut. F.

So I said its way too short. Cover it by bringing more the back hair to the front. U’re a hairstylist! Do something, its queer! “ok ok”. And walla, she snipped my upper head into like a tempurung, with odd curly medium-length hair left behind. WTF. I was closing my eyes after that. I can’t bear to look at myself at the mirror.

1st thing I did as soon I got back home is to pin my fringe up. & NO I’M NOT GOING TO UPLOAD ANY PICS!

All I can imagine is that this hairstyle looked like Katy Perry. Pretty u think? The difference is, I can’t be wearing thick, drastic make-up everyday. Plus, it doesn’t suit my round face! Oh God, whyever was I so gatal nak jugak pegi saloon.

yea my curly, layered hair at the back is almost something like this. with an uglier fringe.

Now. Its been almost two weeks since I last set my foot on UTP. I’ve always had this heavy feeling of leaving that place. I had lotsa good time there. I met many people and made many new friends. They changed my life. And I am Alhamdulillah, very thankful to them. I miss them badly now :(

I’m looking forward to dedicate a post (maybe several) as a tribute to these special people in my life. As what some has already done. Oh I promise I’ll do my homework someday~

First thing you’re a very pretty pretty person. Everyone who knows you will say the same thing as I did. Words like sweet and cute also can be used to describe you. You think about other people’s feelings when making a decision. Other than that, you’re 1 year younger and that doesn’t hinder you from outshining the rest us in studies. I meet you on the 1st day of MAS week. We were in the same group C6 if you still can remember.
What I’ll definitely remember is your love for cats. OMG!! I don’t think there’s anyone else who loves cats as much as you do (Maybe Nymouq can fight). Now whenever I see a cat I will remember you, Izza. Another things is that your always I mean always aware of the camera. No matter where the camera is you will always pose for it. True not? Talk about being alert, like having an inbuilt camera detector with you. Lastly you’re a very popular girl, being the batch queen an all.

about Facebook

Now. I'm pretty sure all you Facebook-Freaks out there noticed that not-so-tiny-but-often-ignored block of message as soon as you log in to your fb account. Its announcing that "Starting on Saturday, June 13th, at 12:01pm, you'll be able to choose a username for your Facebook account to easily direct friends, family, and coworkers to your profile."

Believe it or not. It is taking the world by storm.

Some of us may not be bothered enough on this matter (that includes me!). But it grabbed my attention when I saw it was headlined in Bloomberg television today. ow duh! the tv in my house is always tuned into those channels - CNN, AlJazeera, BBC etc

From my point of view, personally, why bother changing? Why of course everyone has their reasons & yes, we practice personal preference in this world, especially if it involves business with global market. But. As far as I've been using this social network, displaying a person's real name is what makes Facebook look professional; of higher-standard than the other social networking applications. Plus, it makes finding people A WHOLE LOT EASIER, compared to when people use nicknames. I managed to find my cousin thru Facebook by searching the name "Ruth" - thats the name we call her in the family, while her full name is actually Claudia Ruth Yapp. She's more known by the name Claudia, but heck, thanks to Facebook, I still managed to find her. The use of actual name was actually practical! This also explains alot why many working adults nowadays are into Facebook, although they never had MySpace, Friendster, etc. They can connect to their colleagues (and bosses) in an informal & fun way yet maintain being decent. In other words, it doesnt make you look KIDDY! ho yeah u rock Facebook!

But. Oh well. Like it or not, they're implementing this policy. So. Yeah. Soon you can see nicknames like (in Malaysia context) Selipar, BaldiDanGayung, Penagih with the sir name Dadih, Tipah binti Tertipu, and the list goes on. And yeah, you can no longer find your far long cousin Sabariah, cuz she's changed her name to Sabby. "My nick name is Izza. aww but Izza is taken~ nevermind, let just make it xXxIZzAxXx (What is that? A fence?). or maybe iZzAto0hoT. iZzA-licious? owh I'm so funky!". Its an eyesore. Sorry.

Then again, I respect personal preferences. Go ahead if you wanna change la dude, I won't kutuk. LOL!

If something bothers you, speak up.

You cannot change a man's behavior. Change comes from within.

Don't EVER make him feel he is more important than you are...even if he has more education or in a better job. Do not make him into a quasi-god. He is a man, nothing more nothing less.

Never let a man define who you are.

Never borrow someone else's man. If he cheated with his woman, he'll cheat on you.

A man will only treat you the way you ALLOW him to treat you.

All men are NOT dogs.

You should not be the one doing all the bending.. compromise is a two-way street.

You need time to heal between relationships.. there is nothing cute about baggage (past relationship issues).. deal with your issues before pursuing a new relationship.

You should never look for someone to COMPLETE you.. a relationship consists of two WHOLE individuals.. look for someone complimentary.. not supplementary.

Dating is fun.. even if he doesn't turn out to be Mr. Right.

Make him miss you sometimes.. when a man always know where you are, and you're always readily available to him - he takes it for granted .

Don't fully commit to a man who doesn't give you everything that you need.

Keep him in your radar but get to know others.
